APPLE MUFFINS (VERY HEALTHY)

Apple Muffins (Very Healthy) image

This recipe is from the Liver Cleansing Diet by Dr Sandra Cabot. It is very healthy and tastes great. I don't add the sultanas because I don't like them and if I don't have almond oil or soy milk, I use canola oil and fat free milk and they still turn out great.

Tips:

  • Choose the right apples: Use a variety of apples that are good for baking, such as Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Braeburn. These apples hold their shape well and have a good balance of sweetness and tartness.
  • Use fresh ingredients: The fresher your ingredients, the better your muffins will taste. If possible, use organic apples and other ingredients.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter will make the muffins tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Fill the muffin cups evenly: Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full. This will help the muffins rise evenly.
  • Bake the muffins until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean: This usually takes about 20-25 minutes.
  • Let the muffins cool before serving: Let the muffins cool for at least 10 minutes before serving. This will help them hold their shape.
