HEALTHY APPLE CINNAMON OATMEAL BARS
My version of a very healthy high protein, low sugar, high fiber snack/energy bar. Only good carbs and a low glycemic index. This bar is very tasty and filling! I also want to stress that this is a LOW sugar item. If you are looking for something that is very sweet, like my first reviewer, you may want to add more sugar or splenda. This is personal preference as I do not like things too sweet.

Tips:
- Use ripe bananas: The riper the bananas, the sweeter and more flavorful your oatmeal bars will be. You can also use overripe bananas with dark brown or black peels.
- Don't over-mix the batter: Over-mixing can make your oatmeal bars tough. Just mix the ingredients until they are combined.
- Press the batter firmly into the pan: This will help to prevent the bars from crumbling when you cut them.
- Bake the bars until they are just set: Over-baking can make your bars dry and crumbly.
- Let the bars cool completely before cutting them: This will help to prevent them from falling apart.
- Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
Conclusion:
These healthy apple cinnamon oatmeal bars are a delicious and nutritious snack or breakfast option. They are made with whole grain oats, ripe bananas, apples, cinnamon, and honey. They are also gluten-free and vegan. You can also adjust the sweetness of the bars by adding more or less honey. The bars store well in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
