Tips:

  • Use fresh pumpkin puree: Fresh pumpkin puree has a much better flavor than canned pumpkin puree. If you can, try to find a local farm that sells fresh pumpkins.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter can make the bread tough. Mix the batter just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the bread in a loaf pan: Baking the bread in a loaf pan will help it to rise evenly.
  • Let the bread cool completely before slicing: Letting the bread cool completely will help it to set and make it easier to slice.

Conclusion:

This healthier Downeast Maine pumpkin bread is a delicious and nutritious way to enjoy the fall season. It is made with whole wheat flour, oats, and maple syrup, and it is packed with pumpkin flavor. This bread is perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. It is also a great way to use up leftover pumpkin puree.
