1 (16 ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cubed
3 tablespoons butter
½ pound sliced fresh mushrooms
1 pinch garlic powder, or to taste
2 cups heavy whipping cream
⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: Fresh, flavorful ingredients will make a big difference in the taste of your dish. Look for organic or locally-sourced ingredients whenever possible.
  • Don't overcook the chicken: Overcooked chicken is tough and dry. Cook it just until it is cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  • Make your own Alfredo sauce: It's easy to make and much more flavorful than store-bought sauce. Simply whisk together butter, flour, milk, cream, and Parmesan cheese until smooth.
  • Use fresh herbs: Fresh herbs add a burst of flavor to any dish. Try adding some chopped basil, oregano, or thyme to your Alfredo sauce.
  • Serve immediately: Alfredo pasta is best served immediately after it is made. The sauce will thicken as it cools, so if you need to make it ahead of time, be sure to reheat it gently over low heat.

Conclusion:

This healthier chicken Alfredo pasta recipe is a delicious and satisfying meal that is perfect for a weeknight dinner. It's made with whole wheat pasta, grilled chicken, and a creamy Alfredo sauce that is lightened up with Greek yogurt. The dish is also packed with vegetables, making it a nutritious and well-rounded meal.
