Tips:

  • Choose the right pork chops. For this recipe, bone-in pork chops are best. They have more flavor than boneless chops, and the bone helps to keep the meat moist during cooking.
  • Use a good quality marinade. The marinade is what gives the pork chops their flavor, so it's important to use a good one. This recipe uses a simple marinade made with soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger, but you can feel free to experiment with different flavors.
  • Let the pork chops marinate for at least 30 minutes. The longer the pork chops marinate, the more flavor they will absorb. If you don't have time to marinate them for 30 minutes, you can still cook them, but they won't be as flavorful.
  • Cook the pork chops over medium heat. This will help to prevent them from drying out. If you cook them over high heat, they will cook too quickly and become tough.
  • Use a meat thermometer to make sure the pork chops are cooked through. The internal temperature of the pork chops should be 145 degrees Fahrenheit. If they are not cooked through, they will be tough and chewy.

Conclusion:

Hawaiian BBQ Pork Chops are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a summer cookout or potluck. The pork chops are marinated in a flavorful mixture of soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger, then grilled to perfection. Serve them with your favorite sides, such as rice, grilled pineapple, or coleslaw.
