This recipe is from my Aunt Martha, who passed away recently at the age of 94. She found ways to substitute the water in almost any cake recipe with vodka or rum. She left this recipe for Harvey Wallbanger Cake taped to her kitchen cabinet. -Lynda Szczepanik, Highland Park, Illinois

Steps:
- In a highball glass almost filled with ice cubes, combine the vodka and orange juice. Stir well. Float the Galliano on top and garnish with orange slice
Tips:
- Make sure to use fresh orange juice for the best flavor. Bottled or store-bought juice won't give you the same results.
- If you don't have Galliano, you can substitute another orange-flavored liqueur, such as Cointreau or Grand Marnier.
- For a sweeter drink, add a bit more simple syrup or orange juice.
- If you want a less boozy drink, reduce the amount of vodka or Galliano.
- Serve the Harvey Wallbanger immediately over ice, garnished with an orange slice and a cherry.
Conclusion:
The Harvey Wallbanger is a classic cocktail that is perfect for any occasion. It is light, refreshing, and flavorful, with a perfect balance of sweet, sour, and boozy. Whether you are a fan of classic cocktails or are looking for something new to try, the Harvey Wallbanger is a great choice.
