Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before you start cooking, make sure you have all of your ingredients and equipment ready to go. This will help you stay organized and avoid scrambling around looking for things while you're cooking.
  • Use Fresh, Seasonal Ingredients: When possible, use fresh, seasonal ingredients for the best flavor and nutrition. Farmers markets and local grocery stores are great places to find fresh produce.
  • Don't Overcrowd the Pan: When cooking vegetables, don't overcrowd the pan. This will prevent them from cooking evenly and becoming mushy. Cook the vegetables in batches if necessary.
  • Season to Taste: Season your dishes to taste with salt, pepper, and other herbs and spices. Start with a small amount and add more as needed.
  • Don't Overcook the Vegetables: Vegetables should be cooked until they are tender-crisp, not mushy. Overcooked vegetables lose their flavor and nutrients.
