This is the best beef stew I've ever had. The cooking times are off because it's just best to let it cook all day. It works very well in the crockpot.

Tips:
- Choose the right cut of beef. Chuck roast, short ribs, and brisket are all good choices for beef stew.
- Brown the beef before stewing. This will help to develop flavor and prevent the meat from becoming tough.
- Use a variety of vegetables. Carrots, celery, onions, and potatoes are all classic vegetables for beef stew, but you can also add other vegetables, such as parsnips, turnips, or rutabagas.
- Use a good quality broth. Beef broth or chicken broth are both good choices for beef stew. You can also use water, but the stew will have less flavor.
- Season the stew well. Salt, pepper, and garlic powder are all essential seasonings for beef stew. You can also add other spices, such as cumin, paprika, or oregano.
