For those who like their eggs with a soft, custardy center, the 6-minute egg is the way to go. Simply place the eggs in a saucepan of cold water, bring to a boil, and then cover and remove from heat. Allow the eggs to sit for 6 minutes before transferring them to an ice bath to stop the cooking process.

If you prefer your eggs with a slightly firmer yolk, the 8-minute egg is a good option. Follow the same steps as for the 6-minute egg, but increase the cooking time to 8 minutes.

For those who like their eggs hard-boiled, the 10-minute egg is the way to go. Bring a saucepan of water to a boil, add the eggs, and then cover and remove from heat. Allow the eggs to sit for 10 minutes before transferring them to an ice bath.

Once your eggs are cooked to your liking, it's time to assemble your toast. Choose your favorite bread, whether it's white, wheat, or rye. Toast the bread until it's golden brown and crisp. Then, peel the eggs and slice them in half. Arrange the egg slices on the toast and season with salt and pepper. For an extra touch of flavor, add a sprinkle of chopped chives, dill, or parsley.

With its simplicity and versatility, hard-boiled eggs on toast is a dish that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Whether you're looking for a quick and easy breakfast, a light lunch, or a satisfying snack, this classic dish is sure to hit the spot.
