1 lb ground beef, browned
1/2 lb egg noodles, cooked
2 1/4 tablespoons real butter

1 1/2 teaspoons beef bouillon granules
1 1/2 cups boiling water
4 1/2 tablespoons sour cream
1 1/2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

  • Brown beef and drain. Cook egg noodles according to package directions (or use my recipe for homemade noodles). Set aside.
  • In a small cup, dissolve bullion granules in boiling water or use 1 1/2c. hot beef broth.
  • Melt butter in medium sauce pan. Add in all-purpose flour and whisk until smooth. Add hot broth and stir continuously while simmering for 3-4 minutes.
  • After butter mixture resembles gravy, remove from heat and stir in sour cream and mustard.
  • Place beef and noodles in pan and stir to coat with gravy. Heat thoroughly, but don't boil.
  • Enjoy!

HAMBURGER HELPER BEEF STROGANOFF

Hamburger Helper Beef Stroganoff image

I found this online when I was looking for a "lazy" day recipe for when I wanted to make beff stroganoff without all the work. This is pretty simple but it still has that comfort food stroganoff taste. The family likes it too. You could use any pasta you like but the bow tie pasta goes well with it.

  • Use high-quality ingredients: The better the ingredients you use, the better your Hamburger Helper Beef Stroganoff will taste. Look for fresh, lean ground beef, high-quality mushrooms, and a flavorful sauce mix.
  • Brown the beef well: Browning the beef properly is essential for developing flavor. Make sure to cook the beef over medium-high heat until it is browned all over.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When cooking the beef, don't overcrowd the pan. This will prevent the beef from browning properly and will result in a watery sauce.

  • Add your favorite vegetables: Feel free to add your favorite vegetables to Hamburger Helper Beef Stroganoff. Some good options include onions, peppers, carrots, and celery.
