1 small onion, chopped
1 can (15 ounces) Ranch Style beans (pinto beans in seasoned tomato sauce)
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
TOPPING:
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup fat-free milk
1 tablespoon canola oil

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°. In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add beans, tomatoes, chili powder and Worcestershire sauce; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes., Transfer to an 11x7-in. baking dish coated with cooking spray. For topping, in a small bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt. 5 cloves garlic, chopped (or less)

1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes (Ilike to use Italian flavored)
1 cup beef broth
2 tablespoons cornstarch

1 pkg noodles, medium sized cooked
1 lb ground beef, chicken or turkey
1 can(s) whole kernel sweet corn (drained)
1 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
1 can(s) cream of celery soup
1 c sour cream
1/4 c onion chopped
1 Tbsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder

Steps:

  • 1. In a large casserole dish mix both soups, corn, sour cream and spices.
  • 2. Cook noodles as directed on package. Definately do not over cook. I actually slightly under cook them so they do not get too mushy when you bake them in the mixture above.
  • 3. In a skillet brown your onions and ground meat with a dash of salt and pepper. Drain fat as needed.
  • 4. Add noodles and meat mixture to the casserole dish in step one. Mix well.
  • 5. Cover with a lid or foil. Bake @ 350 for 30-45 min. depending on how deep or shallow your dish is . Remove cover for the last 10 min. to brown the top slightly.
