JAN'S HAM AND EGG BREAKFAST STRATA
This recipe was first served to me 35 years ago while up North snowmobiling with a number of families. Now it typically gets served Christmas morning and on Memorial Day weekend while up North with friends. This is always a crowd pleaser and makes great leftovers.

Tips:
- Use a sharp knife to cut the ham and bread into even pieces. This will help to ensure that the strata cooks evenly.
- If you don't have a 9x13 inch baking dish, you can use a 10x15 inch baking dish. Just be sure to adjust the cooking time accordingly.
- You can use any type of cheese that you like in this recipe. Cheddar, Swiss, and mozzarella are all popular choices.
- If you want a more flavorful strata, you can add a tablespoon or two of dried herbs, such as thyme, rosemary, or oregano, to the egg mixture.
- Be sure to let the strata rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving. This will help it to set and make it easier to cut.
