Jan's Ham and Egg Breakfast Strata image

This recipe was first served to me 35 years ago while up North snowmobiling with a number of families. Now it typically gets served Christmas morning and on Memorial Day weekend while up North with friends. This is always a crowd pleaser and makes great leftovers.

  • You can use any type of cheese that you like in this recipe. Cheddar, Swiss, and mozzarella are all popular choices.
  • If you want a more flavorful strata, you can add a tablespoon or two of dried herbs, such as thyme, rosemary, or oregano, to the egg mixture.
