3 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
dried parsley flakes, to taste
olive oil, to drizzle
sea salt, to taste
black pepper, to taste
1/2 stick butter
1 teaspoon powdered garlic
dash Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons fresh Italian parsley to garnish
2 limes, juiced

Bake in the foil, at 400°F hot oven or place foil on the grill for 15 to 20 minutes or until fish flakes easily. Serve with lime butter sauce over the top. LIME BUTTER SAUCE: In a large fry pan, melt 1/2 stick of butter, add 1 teaspoons of minced fresh garlic, add a drop of Worcestershire sauce. Whisk all together. Tips:

  • Choose fresh, firm haddock fillets with no discoloration or off-odors for the best results.
  • For a more intense citrus flavor, use freshly squeezed lime juice instead of bottled juice.
  • If you don't have cilantro on hand, you can substitute another fresh herb such as parsley or basil.
  • To make the lime-cilantro butter in advance, simply combine the ingredients in a small bowl and refrigerate for up to 3 days. When ready to use, let the butter soften at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
  • If you prefer, you can cook the haddock in a skillet over medium heat instead of baking it in the oven. Just be sure to reduce the cooking time to about 4-5 minutes per side.

Conclusion:

This haddock with lime-cilantro butter is a light, flavorful, and easy-to-make dish that's perfect for any occasion. The bright citrus flavor of the lime pairs perfectly with the delicate fish, and the cilantro adds a touch of freshness. Whether you're entertaining guests or just looking for a quick and delicious weeknight meal, this recipe is sure to please.
