Tips:

  • Use fresh gumdrops. Stale gumdrops will not melt properly and will make your squares tough.
  • Do not overmix the batter. Overmixing will make the squares tough.
  • Bake the squares until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Overbaking will make the squares dry.
  • Let the squares cool completely before cutting them. Cutting them while they are still warm will cause them to fall apart.
  • Store the squares in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. You can also freeze the squares for up to 2 months.

Conclusion:

Gumdrop squares are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. They are also a great way to use up leftover gumdrops. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a batch of these tasty squares that will be enjoyed by people of all ages.
