Number Of Ingredients 12

handful of toothpicks
1 pkg. corn or flour tortillas
1 large ripe avocado
2 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. salt
1 can green chiles, finely chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 large ripe tomato, chopped
1 tsp. crushed pepper
1 tsp. worcestershire sauce
you can add cooked ground beef or grilled chicken, chopped, if you wish

Steps:

  • 1. In large bowl, cut avocado in half, peel and remove pit. Use a fork to mash up avocado coarsely.
  • 2. Mix in remaining ingredients gently as to keep it chunky. Microwave tortillas for a few seconds till warm. This will make them easier to handle.
  • 3. Put the tortillas on flat surface; spread some of the guacamole mixture over half the tortillas shell. Add chopped chicken or ground beef if you like. Roll it up. Cut into 2 inch pieces. Use a toothpick to hold together. Arrange on long platter or individual mini bowls and serve with a small bowl of spicy salsa on the side. If you're in a hurry, purchase guacamole from your local grocer.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe avocados. Ripe avocados are easier to mash and have a creamier texture. To check if an avocado is ripe, gently squeeze it. It should give slightly to the touch.
  • Use fresh lime juice. Fresh lime juice adds a bright, acidic flavor to guacamole. If you don't have fresh lime juice, you can use bottled lime juice, but the flavor will not be as good.
  • Don't over-mash the avocados. Guacamole should have a chunky texture. If you over-mash the avocados, it will become too smooth and mushy.
  • Add toppings to your liking. Guacamole is a versatile dish that can be topped with a variety of ingredients. Some popular toppings include chopped tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and cheese.
  • Serve guacamole immediately. Fresh guacamole is best enjoyed immediately after it is made. If you need to store guacamole, cover it tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate it for up to 2 days.

Conclusion:

Guacamole roll-ups are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or snack. They are perfect for parties or potlucks, and they can also be enjoyed as a healthy lunch or dinner option. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a delicious and satisfying dish that everyone will love.
