TRADITIONAL CHILI WITH GROUND TURKEY
A traditional style chili that can be made with ground turkey or ground beef. I have made this recipe with ground beef and ground turkey, and they both have a similar flavor. Delicious with sweet corn bread and shredded Cheddar cheese. After the initial cooking on the stove, you can easily transfer this to a slow cooker.

TURKEY BLACK BEAN CHILI
A chef made this at a cooking class in the upstairs room at the supermarket in town. When I looked over the recipe, I thought "I'm not going to like this". When I watched the prep & the end result, I thought "I'm not going to like this". She served it over a combination of white & brown rice with a side salad. Was I ever wrong. I liked it very much & I will be making it for my DH very soon!

Tips:
- For a richer flavor, use ground turkey thigh instead of breast.
- To make the chili ahead of time, cook it according to the recipe and then let it cool completely. Store the chili in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months. When you're ready to serve, thaw the chili overnight in the refrigerator or reheat it over medium heat until warmed through.
- To add a smoky flavor, add a chipotle pepper in adobo sauce to the chili. Remove the seeds from the pepper before adding it to the pot.
- If you like your chili spicy, add a diced jalapeño pepper to the pot. Remove the seeds from the pepper before adding it to the pot if you want to reduce the heat.
- Serve the chili with your favorite toppings, such as shredded cheese, sour cream, avocado, or diced onions.
