2 can(s) creamed style corn
1 lb ground beef
4 large potatoes, diced
1 small onion

Steps:

  • 1. This casserole my grandma made for me when I was a little girl. Peel 4 lg potatotes, dice and boil till till fork tender but not soft or they will mash up in the casserole. dice and fry onion, add ground beef, fry till no longer pink, add 2 cans creamed style corn. I let this simmer while the potatoes are boiling. Add the drained potatoes. Being from Wisconsin, I sprinkle my serving with grated cheddar cheese. It's also really yummy with French's fried onion rings sprinkled on top.

Tips:

1. Use High-Quality Ground Beef: Choosing lean ground beef with a fat content of 85% or less will ensure a healthier and flavorful casserole. 2. Sauté the Vegetables: Sautéing the onions, peppers, and mushrooms before adding them to the casserole enhances their flavor and texture. 3. Add Spices and Seasonings: Use a blend of spices like chili powder, cumin, paprika, and garlic powder to create a flavorful casserole. Don't forget salt and pepper to taste. 4. Use Fresh or Frozen Corn: Fresh corn adds a sweet and juicy flavor to the casserole, but frozen corn works well too. If using frozen corn, thaw it before adding it to the casserole. 5. Use a Variety of Cheeses: Combining different types of cheeses, such as cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan, creates a rich and gooey cheese sauce. 6. Bake Until Golden Brown: Bake the casserole until the top is golden brown and bubbly. This ensures that the casserole is cooked through and has a crispy crust. 7.
