Tips:

  • Choose the right potatoes and peppers: Select firm, unblemished sweet potatoes and bell peppers for grilling. Avoid potatoes with soft spots or sprouts, and peppers with wrinkles or blemishes.
  • Cut the vegetables evenly: Cut the potatoes and peppers into evenly sized pieces so that they cook evenly. Aim for 1-inch cubes for the potatoes and 1-inch strips for the peppers.
  • Use good quality olive oil: Extra virgin olive oil is the best choice for grilling as it has a high smoke point and a delicious flavor. Avoid using low-quality olive oil or vegetable oil, as they can burn easily.
  • Season the vegetables well: Don't be afraid to season the vegetables generously with salt, pepper, and any other desired spices. This will help to enhance their flavor and make them more enjoyable.
  • Wrap the vegetables tightly in foil: Make sure to wrap the vegetables tightly in foil so that they cook evenly and the juices don't leak out. If the foil is not sealed properly, the vegetables will not cook properly.
  • Grill the foil packets over medium heat: Grill the foil packets over medium heat for about 20-25 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender. Avoid grilling the packets over high heat, as this can cause the vegetables to burn.

Conclusion:

Grilled sweet potato and pepper foil packs are a delicious and easy way to enjoy grilled vegetables. They are perfect for a summer cookout or a quick and healthy weeknight meal. With a few simple tips, you can make sure that your grilled sweet potato and pepper foil packs turn out perfectly every time. So fire up your grill and give this recipe a try!
