1 medium peach, cut into wedges
1 medium nectarine, cut into wedges
1 medium plum, cut into wedges
1/4 cup peach preserves
2 tablespoons butter, cubed
Optional: Pound cake and whipped topping

Steps:

  • On 2 metal or soaked wooden skewers, alternately thread fruits. In a small saucepan, heat preserves and butter over medium heat until butter is melted; set aside 1/4 cup for dipping. , On a lightly oiled grill rack, grill kabobs, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from the heat for 8-10 minutes or until fruit is tender, turning and basting with remaining preserves, mixture. , Serve with reserved sauce and, if desired, cake and whipped topping.

1/4 cup packed dark-brown sugar
4 ripe yellow or white peaches, cut in half
4 ripe red plums, cut in half
4 miniature ripe bananas, cut in half lengthwise

Steps:

  • Heat a grill until medium hot, or heat the broiler. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar. Add all fruit, and toss.
  • Fold the edges of a piece of heavy-duty aluminum foil to form a shallow baking pan, and place on grill. Arrange the fruit, cut sides down, on the foil. Cook fruit until browned and caramelized around the edges, rearranging occasionally to prevent burning. Turn the fruit over, and repeat; serve warm.

1 cup sugar
3/4 lb (12 oz) sliced fresh peaches
3/4 lb (12 oz) blackberries, raspberries, and/or strawberries, halved
1 tsp lemon zest
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp almond extract
1-1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup light brown sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup butter, cut in pieces
1 cup whipping cream

  • Preheat grill to medium-high heat (350-400 degrees). Combine 1/8 tsp salt and next 7 ingredients in a large bowl, stirring gently until well blended.
