Tips:

  • Choose the Right Salmon: Pick wild-caught salmon for its superior flavor and nutritional value. Check for a vibrant color and firm flesh.
  • Grill Preparation: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking. Keep the grill lid closed during cooking to create a smoky flavor.
  • Don't Overcook the Salmon: Salmon is a delicate fish that cooks quickly. Aim for an internal temperature of 135-140°F (57-60°C) for medium-rare, or 145°F (63°C) for medium.
  • Make a Flavorful Marinade: Marinating the salmon adds moisture and enhances its flavor. Use a mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, herbs, and spices. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, but no longer than 24 hours.
  • Perfect Pineapple Salsa: Use fresh, ripe pineapple for the salsa. Combine it with red onion, cilantro, jalapeno, and lime juice. Adjust the heat level by adding more or less jalapeno.

Conclusion:

Grilled salmon with pineapple salsa is a delightful dish that combines the rich flavors of grilled salmon with the vibrant, tropical taste of pineapple salsa. It's a healthy and delicious meal that's perfect for summer gatherings or weeknight dinners. Serve it with grilled vegetables, roasted potatoes, or a fresh salad for a complete and satisfying meal.
