GRILLED SALMON WITH A PINEAPPLE, MANGO AND STRAWBERRY SALSA

Grilled Salmon With a Pineapple, Mango and Strawberry Salsa image

Fresh Salmon is just the best. I go fishing in Alaska once a year and bring home a fair amount. Testing different peoples recipes is great. This one is from EMERIL. I keep some of his Essence on hand at all times. The fruit salsa is so refreshing and a great summer time addition to the fish. I have not tried it on other fish but I am sure it would be great.

Grilled Salmon with Pineapple, Mango, and Strawberry Salsa - Tips:

  • Choose the Right Salmon: Opt for fresh and firm salmon fillets. Thicker fillets are less likely to overcook and remain moist.
  • Season the Salmon: Before grilling, season the salmon fillets with salt, pepper, and any other desired herbs or spices. This enhances the flavor and prevents blandness.
  • Preheat the Grill: Ensure your grill is preheated to the appropriate temperature before adding the salmon. This helps sear the fish quickly and evenly.
  • Cook Salmon to Perfection: The ideal internal temperature for cooked salmon is 145°F (63°C). Use a meat thermometer to accurately measure the temperature.
  • Make the Salsa: Combine fresh pineapple, mango, and strawberries with red onion, cilantro, lime juice, honey, and salt. This vibrant salsa complements the grilled salmon perfectly.
  • Let the Salmon Rest: After grilling, let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more tender and flavorful fish.

Conclusion:

Grilled Salmon with Pineapple, Mango, and Strawberry Salsa is a delightful dish that combines the succulent flavors of grilled salmon with a refreshing and tangy salsa. By following these tips, you can achieve perfectly cooked salmon and a delicious salsa that will impress your taste buds. This recipe is not only healthy but also visually appealing, making it perfect for any occasion. Whether you're hosting a dinner party or enjoying a casual meal, this dish is sure to be a hit.
