Tips:

  • Choose the right potatoes: For a creamy casserole, use starchy potatoes like russets or Yukon Golds. For a firmer casserole, use waxy potatoes like red potatoes or fingerlings.
  • Slice the potatoes thinly: This will help them cook evenly and quickly.
  • Don't overcrowd the grill: Leave some space between the potatoes so they can cook evenly.
  • Cook the potatoes until they are tender: You can check this by piercing them with a fork. They should be soft all the way through.
  • Use a flavorful cheese: Sharp cheddar, Gruyère, or Parmesan are all good choices.
  • Add some herbs and spices: Garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and thyme are all good options.
  • Don't forget the butter: Butter adds flavor and richness to the casserole.
  • Serve the casserole hot: This is when it is at its best.

Conclusion:

Grilled potato casserole is a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that is perfect for any occasion.
