GRILLED PEACH AND PROSCIUTTO APPETIZERS

Grilled Peach and Prosciutto Appetizers image

This is another one of my husbands fun recipes. It's especially fun, because he does all the work! Not unlike melon and prosciutto, only warmed. Nectarines also are very good in this "recipe".

Provided by Normaone

Categories     Fruit

Time 18m

Yield 6-8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 3

4 firm ripe peaches, peeled and quartered
16 slices prosciutto
toothpick

Steps:

  • Wrap each peach quarter with prosciutto so that it goes around twice.
  • Secure with toothpick.
  • Grill until prosciutto has browned a bit.
  • Cool slightly before eating.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe, firm peaches for grilling. Unripe peaches will not soften properly, and overripe peaches will become mushy.
  • To prevent the peaches from sticking to the grill, brush them with oil or melted butter before grilling.
  • Grill the peaches over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are slightly charred and softened.
  • Let the peaches cool slightly before wrapping them with prosciutto. This will help prevent the prosciutto from sticking to the peaches.
  • Serve the grilled peach and prosciutto appetizers immediately, while the peaches are still warm.

Conclusion:

Grilled peach and prosciutto appetizers are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. The sweet and juicy peaches pair perfectly with the salty and savory prosciutto, and the grilled peaches add a smoky flavor to the dish. These appetizers are sure to be a hit at your next party or gathering.
