Time 13m

Yield 1 1/3 cups

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/2 cup butter, melted
6 tablespoons Dijon mustard (or to taste)
1/2 cup dry white wine
1/2 teaspoon dried tarragon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients well.
  • To prepare your fish, marinate your fish fillets for several hours. Prepare your grill. Once it is hot, grill your fish until it flakes easily. Baste the fish with the marinade while it is grilling. Delish!

Tips:

  • Choose the Right Fish: Select firm-fleshed fish like salmon, tuna, or swordfish that can withstand the heat of the grill.
  • Marinate the Fish: Marinating the fish in a flavorful mixture of olive oil, herbs, spices, and citrus juices enhances its taste.
  • Preheat the Grill: Ensure your grill is preheated to medium-high heat before placing the fish to prevent sticking.
  • Oil the Grill Grates: Lightly oiling the grill grates helps prevent the fish from sticking and ensures even cooking.
  • Cook the Fish in Foil: Wrapping the fish in foil packets retains moisture and prevents it from drying out.
  • Flip the Fish Once: Avoid flipping the fish multiple times, as it can break and fall apart. Flip it only once, when the fish is cooked about halfway through.
  • Use a Fish Spatula: A thin, flexible fish spatula is ideal for flipping and removing the fish without breaking it.
  • Check for Doneness: Insert a fork into the thickest part of the fish. If it flakes easily and is opaque throughout, it's cooked.
  • Let the Fish Rest: Allow the fish to rest for a few minutes before serving. This helps the juices redistribute, resulting in a more tender and flavorful fish.

Conclusion:

Grilled Dijon fish is a delicious and healthy meal that's perfect for summer gatherings, weeknight dinners, or a special occasion. By following these tips and using fresh, high-quality ingredients, you can create a perfectly cooked, moist, and flavorful grilled fish that will impress your family and friends. Experiment with different marinades, herbs, and spices to find your favorite flavor combinations and enjoy the taste of perfectly grilled fish all season long.
