Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: Opt for fresh, tender green peppers and juicy, flavorful steak. The better the quality of your ingredients, the better your Green Pepper Steak will taste.
  • Tenderize the steak: To ensure a tender and succulent steak, consider using a meat mallet or tenderizing marinade before cooking. This will help break down the muscle fibers and make the meat more receptive to flavors.
  • Slice the steak thinly: Thinly sliced steak will cook quickly and evenly, resulting in a more tender and flavorful dish.
  • Marinate the steak: Marinating the steak in a flavorful mixture of soy sauce, rice wine, sesame oil, and garlic will infuse it with delicious flavors and help tenderize it.
  • Use a hot wok or skillet: A hot cooking surface will help sear the steak and vegetables, locking in the flavors and creating a slight caramelization.
  • Cook the steak in batches: Avoid overcrowding the pan with steak, as this will prevent even cooking. Cook the steak in batches if necessary to ensure that each piece is properly seared.
  • Add the vegetables at the right time: Add the green peppers and other vegetables towards the end of the cooking process to avoid overcooking. This will ensure that they retain their vibrant color and crisp texture.
  • Season to taste: Taste the Green Pepper Steak and adjust the seasoning with additional soy sauce, rice wine, or sesame oil, if desired.
