Tips:

  • Choose fresh, crisp green beans: Look for beans that are bright green and snap easily when you bend them.
  • Trim the green beans: Remove the tough ends of the beans before cooking.
  • Blanch the green beans: Blanching helps to preserve the color and crispness of the beans. To blanch, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add the beans, and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the beans are bright green. Drain the beans and immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.
  • Use high-quality bacon: Thick-cut bacon will provide the best flavor and texture for this recipe.
  • Cook the bacon until it is crispy: This will help to prevent the bacon from becoming chewy.
  • Wrap the green beans in the bacon tightly: This will help to keep the beans in place and prevent them from falling apart.
  • Bake the bundles until the bacon is cooked through and the green beans are tender: This will typically take about 20 minutes.
  • Serve the bundles immediately: These are best enjoyed hot out of the oven.

Conclusion:

Green bean and bacon bundles are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or side dish. They are perfect for parties, potlucks, or weeknight dinners. With their combination of crispy bacon, tender green beans, and melted cheese, these bundles are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them.
