GREEK HAMBURGERS
I was craving some Greek food one night, but was also interested in a cheeseburger. I had some Mediterranean-esque ingredients in my fridge. Thankfully, the burgers came out AMAZING! Every person that has had the burgers though they were amazing, too. Enjoy! Serve with yogurt sauce, toasted hamburger buns, lettuce, and tomato. Try also with ground lamb.

GREEK HAMBURGERS
This recipe is one that I have adopted. The review from SusieD stated the wine was a bit over powering so I substituted beef broth. This worked out nicely also.

Steps:
- Shape beef evenly into 12 patties.
- In a small bowl, combine the feta cheese, chopped tomato, onion, olives, oil and oregano.
- Top six of the patties with the cheese mixture and then cover with remaining patties and firmly press edges to seal. Sprinkle with salt and pepper for seasoning.
- Grill patties, covered over medium hot heat for 6-8 minutes on each side or until a meat thermometer reads 160F and juices are clear.
- Serve each burger on a pita with lettuce, sliced tomato, cucumber and cucumber ranch dressing.
Tips:
- Use a high-quality ground beef. This will make a big difference in the flavor of your burgers. Look for ground beef that is at least 80% lean.
- Season the beef well. Don't be afraid to use plenty of salt and pepper, as well as other spices that you like. Garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika are all good choices.
- Mix the beef gently. Over-mixing the beef will make it tough. Just mix it until the ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Form the burgers into patties. Make sure the patties are about 1/2-inch thick and 4 inches in diameter. Don't pack the beef too tightly, or the burgers will be tough.
- Cook the burgers over medium heat. This will help to prevent the burgers from burning on the outside while they are still raw on the inside.
- Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the burgers. The burgers are done when they reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit for medium-rare, 165 degrees Fahrenheit for medium, or 170 degrees Fahrenheit for well-done.
- Let the burgers rest for a few minutes before serving. This will help the juices to redistribute throughout the burgers, making them more flavorful.
Conclusion:
Greek hamburgers are a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for any occasion. With a few simple ingredients, you can create a burger that is packed with flavor and sure to please everyone at your table. So next time you're looking for a new burger recipe, give Greek hamburgers a try. You won't be disappointed!
