Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: Fresh, flavorful ingredients will make your soup taste its best. Look for plump, juicy chicken breasts, ripe vegetables, and flavorful herbs and spices.
  • Don't overcrowd the pot: When adding the chicken and vegetables to the pot, make sure there is enough space for them to move around freely. This will help them cook evenly and prevent the soup from becoming too thick.
  • Simmer, don't boil: Bring the soup to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer gently for at least 30 minutes. This will allow the flavors to develop and deepen.
  • Season to taste: Taste the soup before serving and adjust the seasoning as needed. Add more salt, pepper, or herbs until the soup reaches your desired flavor.
  • Serve with your favorite toppings: Greek chicken soup is traditionally served with feta cheese, lemon wedges, and crusty bread. You can also add other toppings, such as crumbled bacon, chopped parsley, or diced tomatoes.
