Tips:

  • Choose the right ribs: Select fresh, meaty spareribs with good marbling. Avoid ribs that are too thin or have a lot of bone.
  • Prepare the ribs: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs to allow the marinade to penetrate better. Cut the ribs into individual portions or leave them whole.
  • Make the marinade: Combine a flavorful marinade with ingredients like soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and spices. Marinate the ribs for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  • Cook the ribs: Use a charcoal grill or smoker to cook the ribs. Preheat the grill to medium-low heat and cook the ribs for 1-2 hours, turning occasionally and basting with the marinade or barbecue sauce.
  • Glaze the ribs: For a sticky, caramelized glaze, brush the ribs with a mixture of honey, brown sugar, and melted butter towards the end of cooking.
  • Rest the ribs: Let the ribs rest for 10-15 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
