DEB'S GRANOLA °
2 1/2 C Old Fashioned oats
1 C coconut
1C sliced almonds
1C sunflower seeds
1C mixed dried fruit or dried cranberries
( 1/4 C packed brown sugar) optional, -we omit.
1 tsp cinammon
MIX Ingredients
1/3 C veg oil, olive oil
1/4 C honey
Bring oil and honey to a boil. remove from heat.
Add 4 tsp vanilla
we omit brown sugar. Plenty of sweetness in dried fruit.
other dried fruits like raisins also may be used.

Steps:

  • Bring oil and honey to a boil. remove from heat. Add 4 tsp vanilla Pour oil, honey and vanilla into mixed ingredients. MIX well. Spread on greased cookie sheet Bake 300 degrees for 30 min. Allow to cool Break into pieces. we omit brown sugar. Plenty of sweetness in dried fruit. other dried fruits like raisins also may be used.

Number Of Ingredients 11

6 cups regular oats(I use gluten free)
1 cup millet
1 cup unsweetened med shredded dried coconut
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup raw unsalted nuts(hazel, almonds or pecans are good choices)
1/2 cup honey(I have substituted Blue Agave for a lower glycemic index value)
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/3 cup water
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon

Steps:

  • Take the first 5 ingredients and mix them together in a large wide bowl. Warm the coconut oil in a small pan and add all the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Pour the coconut oil mixture slowly over the dry ingredients in the bowl to mix well stirring with a large wooden spoon. Pour the mixed ingredients onto a large flat cookie tray and put in an oven warmed to 350 degrees and toast for about 30 minutes stirring well every 10 minutes or so to evenly toast. Set aside to cool before storing in air-tight jars or container.

1/2 cup canola oil

1 Tbls vanilla
2 Tbls molasses
1 cup pumpkin seeds
1 cup craisins

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees Combine all dry ingredients (to salt) The add canola oil through molasses Spread in large baking pan lined with parchment paper or sprayed with nonstick spray. Bake 35-45 min, or until golden. Stir once or twice during the baking. Cool it on the tray, place in large mixing bowl and stir in the pumpkin seeds and craisins.
