This recipe is my grandmother's. Originally, Gram even made the tomato juice in it from scratch! Gram had this soup cooking on the stove every time I visited her. 7 -8 ounces elbow macaroni, uncooked
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
5 ounces 2% low-fat milk (do not use skim milk)
1 slice sandwich cheese slice
1 teaspoon butter
salt & pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • Cook the noodles as directed on the package.
  • Meanwhile, pour the tomato soup into a small sauce pan. Fill the empty can halfway up with milk then add to the soup.

1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup butter
