Tips:

  • Use a medium-grain rice. Jasmine or basmati rice are good choices.
  • Rinse the rice thoroughly before cooking. This will help to remove any starch and prevent the rice from becoming sticky.
  • Use the correct amount of water. The general rule of thumb is 1 cup of rice to 1 1/2 cups of water.
  • Bring the water to a boil before adding the rice. This will help to prevent the rice from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
  • Cover the pot and reduce the heat to low. Simmer the rice for 18-20 minutes, or until all of the water has been absorbed.
  • Remove the pot from the heat and let it stand for 5 minutes before fluffing the rice with a fork.
  • Serve the rice immediately or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Conclusion:

Grandma's rice dish is a simple but delicious dish that can be served with a variety of main courses. It is a great way to use up leftover rice, and it is also a good option for a quick and easy meal. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a delicious and satisfying dish that the whole family will enjoy.
