Tips:

  • To achieve a smooth and creamy filling, ensure that the sweet potatoes are fully cooked and well-mashed. Press them through a sieve to remove any lumps.
  • For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar instead of granulated sugar. You can also add a teaspoon of vanilla extract or ground cinnamon to enhance the taste.
  • To prevent the pie crust from becoming soggy, pre-bake it for 10-15 minutes before filling it. This will help create a barrier between the crust and the filling.
  • If you don't have a pie crust, you can use a store-bought one or make your own using a simple recipe. Just be sure to chill the crust before baking to prevent it from shrinking.
  • To achieve a golden brown crust, brush the top with milk or cream before baking. You can also sprinkle some granulated sugar on top for a sparkling finish.
