1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
1/4 cup cocoa
2 eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup walnuts (optional)
1 pinch salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Melt butter in microwave.
  • Add the cocoa and stir.
  • In medium bowl beat eggs until frothy.
  • Add sugar, flour, and salt (also nuts if you are using them).
  • Pour cocoa mixture over egg mixture and stir all together.
  • Put into a greased 8 x 8 pan. Bake for 30 minutes.
  • For a doubled recipe use a 9 x 13 pan.

I love brownies, so trust me when I say i've tried lots of different recipes, but my grandma's recipe is truly the best!

BROWNIES
4 eggs
1 can(s) hershey syrup
1 c flour
1 c sugar
1/2 c butter (one stick)
FROSTING
1 1/3 c sugar
6 Tbsp butter
6 Tbsp milk
1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • 1. Brownies- Mix together, bake at 350 for 30 mins (in normal cake pan) It's done if a toothpick comes out clean. Otherwise bake another 5 mins.
  • 2. Frosting- Put the Sugar, Milk, and Butter in a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Boil for one minute. Remove from stove and vigorously stire (I use an electric mixer) in 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips until melted and frosting is thick and shiny. Pour over brownies and let set.

1 (16 ounce) can hershey chocolate syrup
