GRANDMA JACKSON'S CHOCOLATE CREAM PIE
This chocolate cream pie is an old-fashioned recipe just like grandma used to make. It's made with simple ingredients and very easy to prepare. The trick is not letting the chocolate mixture burn. Once cooked, it's thick and creamy. Just the way filling for a chocolate cream pie should be. The light and fluffy meringue on top is...

Steps:
- Mix cocoa, cornstarch, beaten egg yolks; sugar and salt, then add milk gradually, while stirring in a pot over med-high heat. Cook until thick, beating it smooth. While stirring, mix in the vanilla. Cream pies take some time to thicken, so stir... and stir (10 to 15 minutes). Using a heavy bottom pan really helps. Just keep it up until it thickens. Pour into a pre-baked pie shell. Put in the fridge to chill for several hours before serving. Add whipped cream, cool whip, or a baked meringue for the topping if you like :)
GRANDMA EMMA'S FUDGY CHOCOLATE PIE
My grandmother's chocolate cream pie was a staple of my childhood. Homemade custard filling with a dense texture. Very rich, not too sweet, and oh-so-satisfying. For convenience, I make this with a store-bought graham cracker crust and top with whipped cream, but she used to make hers with a prebaked pastry crust topped with meringue. Either way, it's delicious. Hope you enjoy!

- Set an oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven's broiler.
- Beat egg whites, sugar, and vanilla extract together in a small bowl until peaks start to form. Spread the thick meringue mixture on top of the custard.
- Cook under the preheated broiler just until the peaks start to turn light brown, 1 to 2 minutes, being very careful not to let the meringue burn.
- Place the custard pie in the fridge or on Grandma's porch on a cool night until the custard congeals, about 2 hours.

GRANDMA'S CHOCOLATE MERINGUE PIE
My grandmother served this old fashioned chocolate pie recipe after Sunday dinner each week, usually with an apology it was "too runny" or something else was wrong with it. Of course, grandma's chocolate pie was never less than perfect! - Donna Vest Tilley, Chesterfield, Virginia

GRANDMA'S CHOCOLATE PIE
Probably the easiest chocolate pie recipe you will find, this one is a big winner with everyone who tries it. My Grandma served it every time she made pies for dessert and there were never any leftovers. I use store bought pie crusts, but my Grandma made them from scratch.

OLD-FASHIONED CHOCOLATE PUDDING PIE
This is your grandma's puddin' pie, only it's vegan - a smooth, cool and creamy pudding in a classic graham cracker shell. To make life even easier, you can use a store-bought crust. For added grandma love, serve with vegan whipped cream and shaved chocolate. Yield One 9-inch pie

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lightly spray a 9-inch pie plate with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the graham crumbs and sugar. Drizzle in the oil or melted margarine. Use a spoon to blend the mixture thoroughly to moisten the crumbs, then drizzle in the soy milk and stir again to form a crumbly dough.
- Pour the crumbs into the pie plate. Press crumbs into the sides of the plate first, then work your way down to the bottom. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until firm. Let the crust cool before filling.
- In a small (2-quart) saucepan off the heat, combine 1 cup of the almond milk and the cornstarch. Use a fork to whisk until the cornstarch is good and dissolved. Whisk in the remaining almond milk, the sugar, cocoa powder and salt. It's O.K. if the cocoa is a bit clumpy at first; it will dissolve eventually.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, whisking occasionally. Keep a close eye because once boiling, you want to lower the heat and bring it to a slow rolling boil. Whisk consistently until the mixture is thickened, which should be about 7 minutes.
- Add the chocolate chips and mix to melt. Stir in the vanilla extract. Pour the pudding into the prepared pie shell and let cool for about 15 minutes on the counter, just until it stops steaming like mad. To keep a skin from forming, place a circle of parchment paper over the filling. Refrigerate and let set for at least 3 hours.
Tips:
- For a richer chocolate flavor, use high-quality cocoa powder and dark chocolate.
- Make sure the cream cheese and butter are at room temperature before mixing so that they blend smoothly.
- Don't overbeat the filling or it will become too thick and dense.
- Chill the pie for at least 4 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld and the filling to set.
- Garnish the pie with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or fresh berries before serving.
Conclusion:
Grandma's Chocolate Cream Pie is a classic dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With its rich chocolate flavor, creamy filling, and flaky crust, this pie is sure to be a hit with everyone. Whether you're making it for a special occasion or just because, this pie is sure to please. So next time you're looking for a delicious and easy dessert, give Grandma's Chocolate Cream Pie a try.
