KIELBASA AND HONEY MUSTARD PINWHEELS
This is a unique spin (or spiral!) on pigs in a blanket, the classic appetizer that's perfect for any occasion. We've swapped in diced kielbasa for the usual hot dogs, and baked honey mustard into the swirls of puff pastry. The best part: You can assemble the three-ingredient apps ahead of time and then cook them off just before your guests arrive.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment.
- Unfold the puff pastry onto a lightly floured work surface. Using a rolling pin, gently roll the dough out to a 10-by-15-inch rectangle. With a small offset spatula, spread the honey mustard evenly over the dough, making sure to go all the way to the edges, then sprinkle the kielbasa pieces over the mustard.
- Starting at a long side, roll the dough into a log as you would a jelly roll, then pinch the seam shut and place onto the prepared baking sheet, seam-side down. Refrigerate the log until slightly firm, at least 30 minutes; this will make it easier to cut it into rounds. (See Cook's Note)
- Cut the chilled puff pastry log into 1/2-inch-wide slices (you should get 20 to 22 slices) and place the slices cut-side down onto the baking sheet. If needed, adjust the slice shape to form a circle. Bake until puffed and golden brown, about 18 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes before serving.

KIELBASA WITH HONEY MUSTARD
This is another odd kielbasa recipe that surprises everyone. It's always a winner at parties. The best type of honey mustard for this recipe is a mustard with more honey texture than mustard. Very easy.

SPICY MUSTARD KIELBASA BITES
I had a 5-pound package of kielbasa that I wanted to use for an appetizer and went in search of something simple that I could prepare early in the day. Boy did I find a winner! The recipe is from FBNR.com (Favorite Brand Name Recipe web site). I highly recommend doubling or tripling the recipe, otherwise you'll be sorry when it disappears quickly and your guests are looking for more. If you have extra sauce, save it and use it to dip chicken nuggets or wings. I changed the directions to make this a more hostess-friendly recipe that can be prepared ahead of time and served hot in a small crock pot. Using a crock pot also makes it easier to prepare this at home and bring it to a party. You can play with the amount of honey. I think it could easily be decreased a bit to lower the calories and the hot sauce could be increased.

Steps:
- Slice kielbasa into bite-size pieces. Using a griddle or frying pan, brown both sides of the kielbasa slices.
- While the kielbasa is grilling: In a large saucepan, combine mustard and honey. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir in hot sauce.
- Next, add the kielbasa to the honey-mustard sauce, stirring to coat.
- Transfer everything to a small crock pot or serving bowl and serve with toothpicks. I recommend using a crock pot -- then you don't have to worry about keeping them hot during the party.

Steps:
- Roasted Veggies: Place the rack in the center of the oven. Preheat oven to 400°F.
- In an ovenproof skillet, brown rutabaga and potatoes in butter. Add onion and stir well. Add salt and pepper. Cook in oven about 40 minutes or until veggies are tender. Stir the veggies a few times during cooking.
- Sausages: Prick the sausages with a fork and put in a saucepan with water. Bring to boil and let simmer slowly about 5 minutes. Drain.
- In a skillet, brown the sausages in oil.
- Spicy Honey Mustard: Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix all the ingredients. Serve the sausages with roasted veggies, spicy honey mustard and sour cream.
Tips:
- Choose the right kielbasa: Look for a kielbasa that is made with high-quality meat and has a good flavor. You can find kielbasa in most grocery stores in the sausage section.
- Slice the kielbasa evenly: This will help it cook evenly. You can slice the kielbasa into rounds, half-moons, or even bite-sized pieces.
- Cook the kielbasa over medium heat: This will help prevent it from burning. You can cook the kielbasa in a skillet, on a grill, or in the oven.
- Add some vegetables to the skillet: This will help round out the dish and make it more nutritious. Some good vegetables to add include onions, peppers, mushrooms, and potatoes.
- Make sure the honey mustard sauce is thick enough: You don't want it to be too runny or too thick. If it's too runny, it won't coat the kielbasa properly. If it's too thick, it will be hard to spread.
- Serve the kielbasa with your favorite sides: Some good sides include mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, or green beans.
Conclusion:
Kielbasa is a delicious and versatile sausage that can be cooked in a variety of ways. With a little creativity, you can easily make a delicious meal that the whole family will enjoy. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, give kielbasa a try. You won't be disappointed!
