Tips:

  • Choose the right broccoli: Use fresh, firm broccoli florets for the best flavor and texture.
  • Don't overcook the broccoli: Cook the broccoli just until it is tender-crisp, about 5 minutes. Overcooked broccoli will become mushy and lose its flavor.
  • Use a good quality chicken broth: The chicken broth is a key ingredient in this soup, so use a good quality broth that has a rich flavor.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment: This recipe is a great starting point, but you can easily customize it to your liking. For example, you could add other vegetables, such as carrots, celery, or onions. You could also add some cooked chicken or ham for extra protein.

Conclusion:

Gramma's cream of broccoli soup is a delicious and easy-to-make soup that is perfect for a cold winter day. It is also a great way to use up leftover broccoli. So next time you have some extra broccoli on hand, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
