Steps:
- 1. Heat oven at 350* bake 40-45 Min. Combine first 5 ingredients, set aside.
- 2. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Pour half of batter into 9 x 13 x2" greased baking pan. Sprinkle with half of graham cracker mixture.
- 3. Carefully spoon remaining cake batter on top. Sprinkle with remaining graham cracker mixture. Bake until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool.
- 4. Combine powdered sugar and milk. Drizzle over cake. Enjoy!
Tips:
- Use unsalted butter and bring it to room temperature before creaming it with the sugar. This will help to ensure that the butter and sugar are evenly combined and that the batter is light and fluffy.
- Don't overbeat the batter. Overbeating can make the cake tough.
- Be sure to use fresh baking powder and baking soda. Old baking powder and baking soda can lose their potency and result in a flat cake.
- If you don't have buttermilk, you can make your own by adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar to 1 cup of milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes before using.
- To make the streusel topping, be sure to use cold butter. This will help to keep the streusel topping from becoming greasy.
- Bake the cake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Overbaking can dry out the cake.
- Let the cake cool completely before serving. This will help to prevent the cake from falling apart.
Conclusion:
This delicious and easy-to-make coffee cake is perfect for any occasion. With its moist and fluffy crumb, sweet streusel topping, and warm spices, this cake is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
