FANTASTIC GRAHAM CRACKER CANDY BALLS (NO-BAKE)

Fantastic Graham Cracker Candy Balls (No-Bake) image

These are so good, and so easy to make, they don't take more than 15 minutes to make in total, these are extremely addictive, you won't be able to stop eating them lol! You can sub whipping cream for the evaporated milk, I have done this a few times, and it seems to work just fine, also you can use 1/2 cup white sugar and 1/2 cup light brown sugar if desired. Just remember to leave the mixture sit in the pot or bowl for about 10 minutes or longer to allow the mixture to firm up. If desired chill the balls firsty and then coat in melted semi-sweet chocolate...YUMMMMMM!

GRAHAM CRACKER CANDY

Categories     Chocolate     Dessert     Bake     Quick & Easy

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/2 pound butter
1/2 cup sugar (or brown sugar)
1/2 box graham crackers
1 cup chopped nuts
To make CHOCOLATE GRAHAM CRACKER CANDY follow above EXCEPT for the nuts.
(The nuts are added LAST)
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 10" x 15" jelly roll pan with aluminum foil. Butter foil. Place a single layer of graham crackers in the pan. Boil butter and sugar for three minutes. Pour butter and sugar mixture over graham crackers. Top with chopped nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool completely and then break into pieces. ---------------------------------------------- For the Chocolate Version: After baking the candy, scatter the chocolate chips evenly over the top of the crackers. Return to oven - bake 2 to 3 minutes or until chocolate softens. Remove from oven and using a spatula, spread the chocolate over the crackers. Sprinkle nuts over the chocolate. Let cool until hardened. For quick hardening - cool for 30 minutes then transfer to the freezer for 15 minutes. When cool, break into pieces.

Tips:

  • Use fresh graham crackers for the best results. Stale graham crackers will not hold together as well and will be more likely to crumble.
  • Be careful not to overcook the candy. The chocolate should be melted and smooth, but not boiling.
  • If you are using a candy thermometer, remove the candy from the heat when it reaches 240 degrees Fahrenheit (115 degrees Celsius).
  • Pour the candy onto a greased baking sheet and let it cool completely before breaking it into pieces.
  • Store the candy in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.

Conclusion:

Graham cracker candy is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a sweet and crunchy snack that the whole family will love. Whether you are looking for a quick and easy dessert or a fun project to do with the kids, graham cracker candy is a great option.
