2 medium tart apples, peeled and sliced
3 tablespoons water
3 tablespoons graham cracker crumbs
3 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons cold butter
Whipped topping and additional cinnamon, optional

Steps:

  • Place apples in a greased 1-qt. baking dish; pour water over apples. In a bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar and cinnamon. Cut in butter until crumbly. 1-1/2 cups packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups all-purpose flour

FILLING:
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3 large Honeycrisp or Golden Delicious apples, peeled and sliced (about 6 cups)
3 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 tablespoon butter
Optional toppings: vanilla ice cream, caramel sundae syrup and salted pecans

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt until crumbly. Add flour and oats; mix well. 8 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1/2 c. water
1-1/4 c. sugar, divided
1 c. graham cracker crumbs
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 t. cinnamon
1/8 t. salt
1/2 c. butter, melted

  • Arrange apple slices in a buttered 11"x7" baking pan. Pan should be nearly full to the top but not heaping. Mix water and 1/2 cup sugar together; sprinkle over apples. Mix remaining sugar, graham cracker crumbs, flour, cinnamon and salt; sprinkle over apples. Drizzle melted butter evenly over topping.
