This spooky Halloween blood punch is equal parts tasty and terrifying! How to make a bloody hand Halloween punch with floating ice hands that glow under a blacklight.

Provided by Alyssia Sheikh

Categories     Drinks

Time 4h20m

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup orange juice
1 cup apple juice
1 cup cranberry juice
1 cup red grape juice
4 cups water
3-4 food safe gloves ((I used vinyl gloves))
5-6 cups tonic water ((regular or diet))
blacklight
glow in the dark witch fingers ((optional))

Steps:

  • Open tonic water and allow the carbonation to settle for a few minutes.
  • Pour tonic water into food safe gloves, leaving enough space to tie a knot.
  • Add filled and tied gloves to a flat tray and freeze 4 hours or overnight, until solid.
  • Add all punch ingredients into a large pitcher or container, stirring to combine.
  • Chill for at least 1 hour in the fridge.
  • Add chilled punch into a serving bowl.
  • Remove frozen gloves from freezer. Wipe each frozen glove with a hot wet paper towel to help loosen the glove from the ice inside.
  • Cut away knot at top of glove, then continue to cut and peel the rest of the glove away from the ice hand.
  • Add ice hands into bowl with chilled red punch (with glow-in-the-dark witch fingers, if desired).
  • Serve under a blacklight to make the ice hands glow!

Provided by Stormy Stewart

Categories     Non-Alcoholic Drinks

Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 can(s) 1 can of the reddest punch you can find (hawaiian punch in the undiluted bottle works very well)
1 bottle 2 liter of sparkling water
1 large of cranberry juice, any flavor
1 rubber glove
2 cloths pins

Steps:

  • 1. Two nights before your party, fill the glove with either water or some of the cranberry juice. Clip the glove end shut by using the clothespins and place into your freezer. To make the punch, mix all of the liquid ingredients and pour into a large container. Use your imagination when choosing your container. You can use anything from a tin pail to a crystal punchbowl. The container can also be decorated in gothic fashion. Right before the festivities commence, carefully remove the 'ice hand' from the glove. It will float nicely in your river of Gothic Blood Punch.
