The best cheeseburger ever! A jucy lucy is two hamburger patties stuffed with cheese!

Provided by Julie Evink

Categories     Main Course

Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 1/2 pounds ground beef (15-20% fat content recommended)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
3/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
6 ounces extra sharp cheddar cheese (cut into thin squares or rectangles)
4 hamburger buns (split, buttered and toasted)

Steps:

  • Combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, and pepper in a large bowl; mix well. Form 8, thin patties from the beef. Each patty should be slightly larger than a slice of cheese.
  • Divide the cheese and put on top of 4 of the patties. Top them with the remaining 4 patties, pinching the edges to form a tight seal.
  • Preheat grill, a cast-iron or other heavy bottomed skillet over medium heat. Cook burgers until well browned, about 4 minutes. It is common for burgers to puff up due to steam from the melting cheese. Turn burgers and prick the top of each to allow steam to escape; cook until browned on the outside and no longer pink on the inside; about 4 minutes. Serve on toasted hamburger buns.

BIG GOOEY MESSY BURGERS

Big Gooey Messy Burgers image

When my daughter was little she would always ask me to make"those big, gooey messy burgers" (most of us call them sloppy joes) however the tangy sweet flavor always gets huge reviews & recipe requests. I make on stove top then put in the crockpot and I never have any leftovers, my husband, co workers and family often request me to make these, I hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

PEPPER - JACK TURKEY BURGERS

Pepper - Jack Turkey Burgers image

My twist on a recipe from the Weight Watchers Complete Cookbook. It's a favourite in my family, and one of the reasons my weight loss journey was so successful! Turkey is lean, very nutrient dense and easily jazzed up. You won't be asking "where's the beef?" for long!

Time 42m

Yield 4 burgers, 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 shallot, minced
1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon ketchup
1/4 teaspoon coarse-grind black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon paprika
3/4 lb ground turkey breast (make sure it's white-meat only)
1/3 cup shredded monterey jack cheese (with peppercorns)
8 slices turkey bacon, cooked
4 whole wheat hamburger buns, toasted

Steps:

  • Combine the minced shallot, soy sauce, Worcestershire, ketchup, coarse pepper, garlic powder, cumin and paprika in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add ground turkey and mix well, but do not mash the meat to oblivion (no one likes tough turkey!)
  • Stir in the Monterey Jack to evenly distribute.
  • Shape into 4 patties, indenting the centres of each to fix the "burger bulge" (when they poof as they cook).
  • Grill or broil until cooked through, about 6 minutes a side.
  • Top each patty with 2 slices of cooked turkey bacon and serve on toasted buns.

Tips:

  • Use High-Quality Ingredients: The quality of your ingredients will greatly impact the taste of your burger. Look for fresh, high-quality ground beef, sharp cheese, and flavorful condiments.
  • Season Your Beef: Don't just throw your ground beef on the grill without seasoning it. Season it generously with salt, pepper, and your favorite spices. This will help to enhance the flavor of the beef.
  • Cook Your Beef to the Correct Temperature: The USDA recommends cooking ground beef to an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C). This will help to ensure that the beef is safe to eat and that it is juicy and flavorful.
  • Let Your Burgers Rest: After cooking your burgers, let them rest for a few minutes before serving. This will help to redistribute the juices throughout the burger, making it more juicy and flavorful.
  • Use High-Quality Cheese: The type of cheese you use will also have a big impact on the taste of your burger. Look for a cheese that melts well and has a strong flavor. Cheddar, Swiss, and American cheese are all popular choices.
  • Add Your Favorite Toppings: The possibilities are endless when it comes to burger toppings. Some popular choices include lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and ketchup. Get creative and experiment with different toppings to find your favorite combination.

Conclusion:

Making a delicious bacon-stuffed mushroom burger is easy when you follow these recipes. With just a few simple ingredients and steps, you can create a juicy, flavorful burger that will satisfy your cravings. So what are you waiting for? Fire up the grill and get cooking!
