Tips:

  • To ensure even cooking, weigh your ingredients using a kitchen scale.
  • Activate the yeast properly by using warm milk and a pinch of sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes, until it becomes foamy.
  • Knead the dough for at least 5-7 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic. This will help develop the gluten and give the buns a chewy texture.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place for about an hour, or until it has doubled in size. This will give the yeast time to work and produce gases, which will make the buns light and airy.
  • When shaping the buns, make sure to pinch the edges together tightly to prevent them from coming apart during baking.
  • Brush the buns with egg wash before baking. This will give them a golden brown color and a shiny crust.
  • Bake the buns in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and sound hollow when tapped.

Conclusion:

These golden raisin breakfast buns are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that are perfect for any occasion. They are soft, fluffy, and filled with plump raisins. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can enjoy these homemade buns fresh from the oven. Whether you serve them for breakfast, brunch, or as an afternoon snack, they are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them.
