Time 45m

Yield 2 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 potatoes, large
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Peel potatoes.
  • Cut in half lengthwise.
  • Cut each half into 4 long wedges.
  • Dip wedges in melted butter.
  • Roll in bread crumbs.
  • Place on a greased pan.
  • Bake 35 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit or until golden brown.

Tips:

  • Choose the right potatoes: Russet potatoes are the best choice for wedges, as they are firm and hold their shape well during baking.
  • Cut the potatoes evenly: This will help them cook evenly. Aim for wedges that are about 1-inch thick.
  • Toss the potatoes in oil and seasonings: This will help them get crispy and flavorful. You can use olive oil, avocado oil, or even melted butter. Season the potatoes with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and any other herbs or spices you like.
  • Spread the potatoes out in a single layer on a baking sheet: This will help them cook evenly and prevent them from steaming.
  • Bake the potatoes at a high temperature: This will help them get crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Aim for a temperature of 425°F (220°C).
  • Flip the potatoes halfway through cooking: This will help them cook evenly on all sides.
  • Serve the potatoes hot: They are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven. You can serve them with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup, ranch dressing, or honey mustard.
