Time 13m

Yield 5-6 waffles

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 eggs, beaten
1 1/4 cups water
2 cups golden malted flour
4 tablespoons butter, melted

Steps:

  • Beat eggs and water together, then add flour and mix well.
  • Stir in melted butter and make sure to mix well again.
  • Ladle onto hot waffle iron and remove when golden brown.

Tips:

  • For light and fluffy waffles, make sure to separate the egg yolks and whites and beat the whites until stiff peaks form. This step creates air pockets in the batter, resulting in a tender texture.
  • To achieve a golden brown exterior, use a hot waffle iron and cook the waffles until they are crispy on the outside and cooked through on the inside. Cooking them for too long will make them dry and tough.
  • For a flavorful waffle, use high-quality ingredients, such as real maple syrup and fresh berries. You can also add spices like cinnamon or nutmeg to the batter for a warm and cozy flavor.
  • If you don't have buttermilk, you can make your own by adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar to regular milk and letting it sit for 5 minutes. This will give the milk a slightly tangy flavor that is similar to buttermilk.
  • To keep your waffles warm and crispy, place them on a wire rack in a warm oven while you cook the rest of the batch. This will prevent them from getting soggy.

Conclusion:

Golden Malted Waffles are a delicious and easy-to-make breakfast or brunch dish. With their crispy exterior and fluffy interior, they are sure to be a hit with the whole family. These waffles are also a great way to use up any leftover buttermilk or mashed bananas. So next time you're looking for a special breakfast treat, give Golden Malted Waffles a try!
