Time 40m

Number Of Ingredients 11

½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 ¼ cup flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
1 8 ounces package of cream cheese (softened)
2/3 cup powdered sugar
1 Tablespoon instant vanilla pudding powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350.
  • Using a stand mixer, beat together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the vanilla and egg and mix until combined.
  • Add the flour, baking powder, and salt and mix until combined, about 2 minutes.
  • Either press the dough evenly into a 14 inch pizza pan, or roll out into a 14 inch circle and put on a cookie sheet. You can use a sharp paring knife to trim up the edges, or leave them for a more rustic look.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, until lightly browned. Let cool completely.
  • Beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, pudding powder, and vanilla together until smooth and light. Spread evenly across the cooled crust.
  • Prep your fruits by rinsing them and allowing them to drain completely. Slice as desired and arrange on the pizza as desired. If you would like the glazed look of a fruit tart, mix a few tablespoons of apricot jam with a little water and then brush across the fruit. Serve immediately.

FRUIT PIZZA EVEN BETTER

Fruit Pizza Even Better image

Almond extract makes all the difference in this updated version of the traditional fruit pizza. Kiwi makes the topping completely fresh and adds beautiful color. Use low-fat cream cheese for a slightly lighter version. Any clear juice (apple, pear, peach, etc.) may be substituted for the pineapple.

Tips:

  • For a crispier crust, pre-bake the crust before adding the toppings. This will help prevent the crust from becoming soggy.
  • Use fresh fruit for the topping. Fresh fruit will give your pizza a brighter flavor and a more vibrant color.
  • Don't overload the pizza with toppings. Too many toppings will make the pizza difficult to slice and eat.
  • Bake the pizza until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden brown. This will ensure that the pizza is cooked through and that the cheese is melted and gooey.
  • Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This will help prevent the cheese from sliding off the pizza.

Conclusion:

Golden Fruit Pizza is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With a crispy crust, a creamy cheese filling, and a variety of fresh fruits, this pizza is sure to please everyone. So next time you're looking for a sweet treat, give Golden Fruit Pizza a try!
