Tips:

  • Choose fresh broccoli florets. Fresh broccoli florets will give your casserole the best flavor and texture. If you're using frozen broccoli, be sure to thaw it completely before adding it to the casserole.
  • Don't overcook the broccoli. Broccoli should be cooked until it's tender-crisp, not mushy. Overcooked broccoli will lose its flavor and nutrients.
  • Use a good quality cheese. The cheese is one of the main ingredients in this casserole, so it's important to use a good quality cheese that you enjoy the taste of. Cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, and Gruyère cheese are all good options.
  • Make sure the casserole is cooked through. The casserole is done baking when the cheese is melted and bubbly and the broccoli is tender. You can insert a toothpick into the center of the casserole to check if it's done. If the toothpick comes out clean, the casserole is done.
  • Let the casserole cool slightly before serving. This will help the casserole to set and make it easier to serve.
