½ cup (120 ml) water
1 cup (160 g) green grapes
½ cup (78 g) pineapple chunks
½ ripe banana, peeled
2 cups (60 g) fresh spinach, packed
½ cup (120 ml) ice cubes

Tips:

  • Choose nutrient-rich ingredients: Opt for fruits and vegetables that are packed with essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Leafy greens like spinach and kale, berries, citrus fruits, and cruciferous vegetables are all excellent choices.
  • Variety is key: Don't stick to the same few ingredients. Experiment with different fruits, vegetables, and even herbs and spices to create a wide range of flavors and nutrient profiles.
  • Prep your ingredients: Wash and chop your fruits and vegetables in advance to save time and make it easier to blend your smoothie in the morning.
  • Use frozen fruit: Frozen fruit can be just as nutritious as fresh fruit, and it can help keep your smoothie cool and refreshing. Plus, it's often more affordable than fresh fruit.
  • Add healthy fats: Healthy fats help keep you feeling full and satisfied. Avocado, nuts, and seeds are all great sources of healthy fats.
  • Sweeten naturally: If you need to sweeten your smoothie, use natural sweeteners like honey, maple syrup, or stevia. Avoid refined sugars, which can spike your blood sugar levels and lead to weight gain.
  • Add a protein powder: If you're looking for a more filling smoothie, add a scoop of protein powder. Plant-based protein powders made from pea, hemp, or brown rice are all good options.
  • Experiment with different liquids: You can use a variety of liquids in your smoothie, such as water, milk, yogurt, or kefir. Experiment to find the combination that you like best.

They're packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that can help boost your energy, improve your digestion, and support your immune system.
