Tips:

  • Use a variety of apples. This will give your apple betty a more complex flavor and texture. Some good options include Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, and Braeburn apples.
  • Peel and slice the apples thinly. This will help them cook evenly and quickly.
  • Don't overcrowd the baking dish. The apples should be able to spread out in a single layer so that they can cook evenly.
  • Use a combination of gluten-free flours. This will help to create a light and fluffy topping.
  • Don't overmix the topping. Overmixing will make the topping tough.
  • Bake the apple betty until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown. This usually takes about 30 minutes.
  • Let the apple betty cool slightly before serving. This will help it to set.

Conclusion:

Apple betty is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It is a great way to use up leftover apples, and it can be made gluten-free with just a few simple substitutions. So next time you're looking for a sweet treat, give this gluten-free apple betty a try!
