- In a large bowl, combine the first nine ingredients; set aside 1/2 cup for basting. Pour remaining marinade into a large resealable plastic bag. Add the ribs; seal bag and turn to coat. - Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Chop 1 onion into 1-inch pieces. Place ribs, chopped onion, and garlic in 9- by 13-inch roasting pan with 1 1/2 cups water. Cover tightly with foil and place in oven.
